Description

The 1730 Oloroso VORS is a fortified wine from the Jerez region, produced by Bodegas Álvaro Domecq, and is part of the select “1730” Collection. It is made with 100% Palomino grapes, following traditional methods.

After fermentation, it is fortified with wine alcohol, initially reaching around 17.5% ABV, and then aged oxidatively using the solera system in approximately 500-liter American oak casks. Its extended aging—around 30 years—gives it great complexity, with an evolution that encompasses both the extraction of compounds from the wood and the natural concentration of the wine.

Only around 1,000 bottles of this exclusive oloroso are produced. Its VORS (“Very Old Rare Sherry”) designation indicates a very long aging process, making it a premium product among sherry wines.
