Cardhu Distillery

Cardhu Distillery

Cardhu is a Speyside single malt whiskey distillery located near Archiestown, Morayshire, Scotland. It was founded by whiskey smuggler John Cumming in 1819.

The distillery is run by Diageo and, along with single malt Scotch whisky, the distillery's whiskey makes up a significant part of Johnnie Walker's blended whiskies.

The word "Cardhu" derives from the Scottish Gaelic Carn Dubh, meaning "Black Rock".
