Marqués de Murrieta Reserva 2021 is one of the most recognizable icons of the DOCa Rioja. Made with Tempranillo, Grenache, Graciano and Mazuelo in the historic Finca Ygay in Logroño, the 2021 vintage—considered one of the best in recent years according to critic Luis Gutiérrez of Wine Advocate—arrives full of life with aromas of red fruit, scrubland, mint and a delicate spicy background of cedar and clove. It glides elegantly in the mouth, with silky tannins, precise acidity and a long-lasting balsamic aftertaste. Classic, refined and with a great future ahead.
Remelluri Reserva 2017 is the great wine from Granja Nuestra Señora de Remelluri, a unique estate in Rioja Alavesa led by Telmo Rodríguez, one of the most influential producers of Spanish wine. Coupage of Tempranillo, Garnacha and Graciano from organic farming, aged for 21 months in barrels and more than 42 months in the bottle before going on the market. The result is a reserve of deep personality: intense cherry red color, complex nose of blackberry, plum, exotic spices, mountain herbs and an unmistakable mineral undertone. In the mouth, broad and silky, with sweet tannins and a finish of extraordinary persistence. 93 points Robert Parker.
