Tasting notes
Nose
Aroma of yellow fruit (mirabella plum, nectarine) and candied citrus (lemon) completed with woody notes (toasted, vanilla) from 24% of the wines vinified in our French oak casks. The charm of the fine reduction notes (shell, toasted and iodized) takes effect and the Chardonnay gives it a very elegant character.
Palate
Fruity (peach) and floral (pollen) palate, very light and delicate.
Description
The year 2020 followed a similar trajectory to that of 2019: a mild and rainy winter followed by a dry summer with several heat waves, which, although less extreme than in 2019, had an impact on the vineyard. Fortunately, a fairly cloudy June provided a wet interval between two dry spells. Despite the shocking heat strokes and the impression of constant sunshine, the 2020 campaign ended with relatively normal temperatures and sunshine levels. These continental conditions, although with “normal” annual averages, allowed for the production of mature and balanced wines!
The harvest took place between August 22 and September 11, 2020.
