Tasting notes

Nose

The nose opens with a burst of orange zest and dried cranberries before sweetening with notes of honeycomb and cotton candy. Throughout the wine, notes of cinnamon, tiramisu, mulled wine and even jalapeño stand out, pulling the nose in different directions. Discover something new every time you have the drink.

Palate

The flavor is a little more structured than the nose suggests, but still packed with varied flavors like sugared almonds, caramel apples, sultanas and salty licorice. The finish is long and round, with a lingering touch of baking spices.

Description

The Tomatin 14 Year of the Horse 2026 is a special edition crafted by the historic Tomatin Distillery , located in the Scottish Highlands. Distilled in 2011 and matured for 14 years, this single malt has been finished in a first-use Pedro Ximénez cask , giving it remarkable aromatic depth and a silky texture.

Bottling Unfiltered and aged naturally in oak barrels, it retains all the intensity and character of the whisky. The nose is dominated by aromas of dried fruit, candied orange peel, dark honey, and sweet spices. On the palate, it is enveloping and balanced, with notes of caramelized apple, raisins, dried fruit, licorice, and a touch of cocoa, culminating in a long, warm, and spicy finish.

Inspired by the Year of the Horse in the lunar calendar , this edition symbolizes energy, elegance, and strength —values reflected in its flavor profile. An exclusive bottle that combines tradition, craftsmanship, and character, designed both for leisurely enjoyment and as part of a select collection.
