Description

Rosario Vera 2022 is the most personal wine from Viñas Familia Gil, made in the DOCa Rioja Alavesa by Bodegas Rosario Vera as a tribute to Rosario Vera, mother and co-founder of this renowned family wine group with more than a century of history.

Made with 100% Tempranillo grapes from our own small plots with low yields, with vines over 50 years old located in the surroundings of the Sierra Cantabria, between the subzones of Rioja Alavesa and Rioja Alta, on limestone-clay soils with Atlantic and Mediterranean influence.

The harvest is completely manual, plot by plot, to guarantee maximum selection of the grapes. Fermentation takes place in small oak vats separately per plot, which provides identity and purity to each batch. Subsequently, the wine is aged in French oak barrels which provides complexity without masking the expression of the fruit.
