The Andrew Will Ciel du Cheval 2017 is a single-vineyard wine that reflects the distinctive character of the Ciel du Cheval vineyard, located in the acclaimed Red Mountain appellation in Washington State. This area is renowned for producing some of the most structured, long-lived, and expressive wines in the American Northwest, thanks to its warm climate, volcanic soils, and excellent drainage.
The 2017 cuvée is a Bordeaux blend that varies in proportions each vintage, but is typically dominated by Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, accompanied by small amounts of Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot. Andrew Will crafts this wine with a minimalist approach, allowing the fruit, soil, and climate to speak for themselves.
