Description
Izadi El Regalo Blanco Viñedo Singular 2021 is one of the most exclusive whites from the DOCa Rioja and a unique expression of the terroir of the Rioja Alavesa. Made by Bodegas Izadi with Viura and Malvasía grapes from a unique plot of 3.85 hectares planted in glass in Villabuena de Álava in 1936, cultivated in the headland of the El Regalo estate.
After pressing whole clusters and static racking, the must ferments entirely in French oak barrels, with subsequent aging for 8 months on fine lees in foudre and in concrete tanks, which provides an extraordinary texture and an aromatic complexity that is difficult to find in a Riojan white.
Straw-yellow in color with grayish hints. On the nose, great aromatic complexity with notes of chamomile, ripe pineapple, white truffle, almonds and white pepper. In the mouth it is unctuous and very aromatic, with notes of spices, toasted almonds and ripe white fruit; Its lively acidity provides balance and an eternal finish.
An exceptional wine to enjoy now and with great aging potential of 10 to 15 years, recognized with 93 Parker points. Ideal for rock fish, rice, cured cheeses and foie.
