Silencio de Miros is a single-vineyard wine from “La Viña de Rafael”, a vineyard located in the Golden Mile of the Ribera del Duero, near Peñafiel, at an altitude of approximately 900–1,000 meters. Made with 100% Tinta Fina (Tempranillo) grapes, this wine reflects the purity of the terroir, hand-harvested and rigorously selected in the vineyard. After harvesting, the grapes rest for 48 hours in a cold room at less than 7°C to preserve their fruity aromas. Next, a cold pre-maceration of approximately 52 hours is carried out in an inert atmosphere, followed by alcoholic fermentation for 12 days at around 26 °C in large capacity truncated conical tanks Malolactic fermentation takes place in new French oak barrels (225 L and 500 L), where it remains for approximately 45 days, receiving gentle lees stirring twice a week. Bodegas Peñafiel determines the exact aging time according to the characteristics of each vintage.
