Tintas: Cencibel (Tempranillo), Garnacha Tinta, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Syrah y Petit Verdot.

Blancas: Airén, Macabeo (Viura), Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Moscatel de Grano Menudo y Verdejo.

The D.O. Valdepeñas is located in Castilla-La Mancha, in the south of the province of Ciudad Real, and is one of the most traditional appellations in Spain. It is best known for its Cencibel (Tempranillo) reds, both young and aged, and for its Airén whites.

The vineyards lie at an average altitude of approximately 705 metres. Limestone soils predominate, together with sandy and clay soils and some gypsum. The climate is dry continental, with more than 2,500 hours of sunshine a year and sharp temperature differences between winter and summer.

These conditions produce wines that the appellation's specifications describe as aromatic, structured, with a good balance between alcohol and acidity and soft tannins, suitable both for drinking young and for ageing.
